  • According to an AJC.com blog, four judges in Cobb County – all of them women — have announced that they will not be running for re-election when their terms expire this year, denying Gov. Nathan Deal four judicial appointments. 

  • Although they set up different search committees, “Colorado’s senators agree on most candidates for federal court vacancy,” The Denver Business Journal reported.

  • Former Judge Judith S. Kaye, the first woman to serve on New York’s Court of Appeals and the first to serve as its chief judge, has died, The New York Times said.
